Tassels on your rugs destroyed? Cut them off! I have a couple rugs that are machine washable, but the tassels eventually get ruined. There is hair all wrapped in them, they start to look all shaggy, and there’s nothing you can really do to fix them. So what do you do? Remove them!
I definitely suggest checking the way they are sewn onto your rug first. Not all tassels are attached in such a way that you will be able to easily cut them off. The rugs I did it on are Hearth and Hand from Target. (Linked below). The way the tassels are sewn on makes it super easy to cut them off.
I plan on also removing tassels from a few throw pillows I have. I’m going on a tassel cutting rampage. Haha!
